Subject: Excellent Program!
I have just finished listening to the entire series. I wish there were more episodes. Barrymore is wonderful. An excellent glimpse of WWII home life is found in the commercials and in some of the episodes. It would be wonderful if every American could hear "Amylougoestowar." She's a young nurse going back to Batan after coming home to heal after being wounded. She knows that she will never come home again if she returns. The Mayor's counsel is heartfelt and poignant. Later episodes have some "snap, crackle, pop" but are still worth listening to.

Subject: Lionel Barrymore Excellent as the "Major Of The Town"
This is an excellent show with Lionel Barrymore in excellent form as the mayor of a small town. The stories are dramatized by Lionel Barrymore with a good supporting cast. Please note that Mr. Barrymore has a different role in this drama compared to his role in the Dr. Kildare radio and movie series. At the time of his death, Lionel Barrymore had a radio show airing Sunday evenings on KNX/CBS in Los Angeles. I do not recall whether he acted in the series or if his role was limited to a host (or if the shows were repeats from previous years). Again, "Major Of The Town" is worthwhile listening.

Subject: A Sweet Drama
Listened to the War Orphan and it was beautiful. What a lovely drama for the family. A must for those who only remember Lionel Barrymore as Mr. Potter.
